Our Story
It started with the farm.
Before there was Long Lane Naturals, there was Long Lane Farms.
We're farmers first, and raising grass-fed cattle is part of our everyday life. Our approach to farming has always been rooted in making thoughtful use of what we have, respecting the work that goes into producing food, and finding value beyond the obvious.
Working with tallow fit naturally into that.
From the Farm to the First Jar
What started with rendering tallow ourselves and making products for our own use slowly became something we never really planned for.
Friends and family wanted jars. Then customers started asking. People came back for more. They told their friends. And what began as one more thing we made here on the farm started becoming a business of its own.
Long Lane Naturals grew from there.
We still render our tallow ourselves. We still make our products in small batches here in Ontario. And we're still guided by the same approach that started all of this: use good ingredients, keep things simple, and take the time to do it properly.
From pasture, to plate, to skin - that's full-circle farming.
Growing From Here
Long Lane Naturals may have a space of its own now, but it will always be part of Long Lane.
What started here on the farm is ready to reach a little farther, and we're incredibly excited to see where it goes.
